Europe Ladies Runners-up in Kilmacud Shield Tournament

Crokes Ladies Annual 7-a-side football blitz took place on Saturday 18^th Feb in Paraic de Burca in glorious sunshine but in artic conditions. Despite the cold, almost 50 ladies participated from U16, Minor, G4M, Junior and Senior teams and included a team from continental Europe which added a great vibe to the competition. It was played on a league basis with each of the five teams playing each other.

In the end “The Pool” managed by John Joe Young won all their league games topping the league to advance to the Cup Final. In the final they would meet Casey’s Hero’s who finished second in the league. Managed by Ray Casey they were determined to get revenge over “The Pool” for the narrow defeat earlier in the competition. But alas in the final “the Pool” ran out winners in the end.
